Reid Scott is an American actor. He portrays Eli Cohen in the first season of CBS All Access's Why Women Kill.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Scott was born and raised in Albany, New York. He is the son of Kathleen and Neil Weiner. He attended Syracuse University before moving to New York City to pursue his acting/writing career.

Career[]

Scott began his career with roles in the off-Broadway play Cargo In 2002, he got his guest role on television in That 70’s Show, and in American Dreams that same year.

In 2003, he got his first main role in FOX’s With You in Spirit until 2004. He has appeared in other television shows, including TBS’ My Boys, FOX’s Bones, ABC’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Showtime's The Big C, HBO’s Veep, and Netflix’s Turbo FAST.

He has also appeared in movies, including his movie debut Bickford Shmeckler's Cool Ideas in 2006, Amusement, Home Again, Venom, and Late Night.

on the big screen in films such as Amusement and Losing Control. In June 2014, it was reported that Scott had joined the Nancy Meyers film The Intern, as a "smooth-talking, cocky young businessman." However, Scott's character is not in the final cut of the film.

Personal Life[]

Scott married his longtime girlfriend Elspeth Keller on June 21, 2014. They have two children together, two sons, Conrad and Damon born in 2015 and 2018 respectively.

Trivia[]

  • An expert downhill skier, and has raced in several charity races, including the American Airlines Celebrity Ski for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
